The mine wanted to increase the life of their Secondary Liners to increase annual production time and reduce maintenance costs. They also were seeking a reduced break-in period.
Optimum Crush used their knowledge of the entire machine to develop a custom set of liners that was stemmed from “out-of the-box” thinking. Their knowledge of how the crusher was originally designed allowed them to see options that even the OEM was unable to do.
In the first test the Liner Life was increased by 35% but the break in period was not improved. After a minor adjustment the break-in period was reduced to a negligible amount while maintaining the 35% increase in life.
