Crushers had high vibration, Bowl Shaking, Clamping Cylinder oil leaks, and failed Adjust Drive Gearboxes. OEM recommended to replace the Clamp Ring, Adjustment Ring, and/or Bowl due to excessive thread wear.
Upon inspecting the Clamp Ring, Adjustment Ring, and Bowl Threads the wear was not excessive and did not require expensive repair or replacement of these large parts. We designed Clamping Cylinders with 58% more stroke to lift the Clamp Ring higher and continue to properly lock the Bowl into static position during operation.
Vibration, oil leaks, and gearbox failures were eliminated. The Customer was able to run the major castings for several more years and avoid expensive repair and replacement costs.
