Liner life was too short and vibration values seemed too high. Due to high vibration values, the crusher could not be operated as tight as desired to achieve the target P80.
The mine reviewed proposals from several companies and ultimately partnered with Optimum Crush. A liner set was developed to match the Pebble Feed size.
Overall production operating condiditions improved which reduced vibration in the crusher. Liner life increased by 63% which significantly reduced the quantity of liner changes per year and annual material costs.
