Reasons to Work with Optimum Crush

Reasons to Work with Optimum Crush

A business can’t do all the work on its own and requires external help to maintain the best performance. The same goes for rock crushing companies, which heavily rely on third-party services to help take care of the various facets of the business, especially the rock crushing machines. Here’s why you should work with Optimum Crush for that reason:

Optimizing With Crush Calculation

Experienced people will tell you that the rock-crushing business is very costly. There are various overheads, many of those you can’t account for at times. But businesses tend to skip out on those that they still can, allowing them to save millions across rock-crushing projects.

An experienced rock crushing solutions business like Optimum Crush can guide you on what factors to focus on.This helps optimize the entire procedure within a budget and minimize any unexpected costs that could occur.

Access To Quality Service

At Optimum Crush, we have repair and replacement services for nearly all parts of rock crushers. The parts for these machines go through a lot of wear and tear, which means that you’ll regularly be repairing or replacing them. Don’t take on the risk of working with any unprofessional service that can help save you a buck.

Because of how vigorously they operate, you’re more than likely to break something by improper installation. Our services focus on numbers and statistics to ensure that you’re getting the most bang for your buck in terms of performance.

Access To Quality Parts

In our years in the business, we’ve established a network with various part suppliers for crushers. From major brands to OEM suppliers, you can find the right equipment that you need. Crushers are delicate despite being such powerful machines, which means that you should always be using the best material you can get a hold of.

We ensure that the materials are on par if not better than the ones we’re replacing for you. The goal is to offer components that offer the optimal throughput.

Focus On the Details

We don’t rush the parts sales procedure. As crusher parts are extremely sensitive, we ensure that you’re getting something that’s designed to operate optimally. As parts develop and advance over time, we update our inventory to maintain the materials for best throughput.

We also focus on the material properties, as not all are built to operate in the same way. If you use mismatching components, anything from major wear and tear to large-scale damage are likely to take place.

At Optimum Crush, we offer all the rock crusher solutionsthat companies need to maintain quality services. From technicians for replacement and repair services to spare OEMrock crusher parts for your machines, you can acquire all you need with the various options available with our business.

We’re a Raptor 900 cone crusher parts supplier, along with Metso and Telsmith options. From crusher & screen replacement parts such as cone crusher bowl liner, mantle, all of the options are available on our website.

5 Things You Must Stop Doing to Your Cone Crusher

5 Things You Must Stop Doing to Your Cone Crusher

Cone crushers are expensive equipment that requires meticulous care and upkeep. Unfortunately, not everyone handles their cone crushers with the delicacy that they deserve. As a result, its not uncommon to come across worn and torn cone crushers that are seemingly on their last legs. The reality is that improper care results in cone crushers causing numerous problems that affect your material reduction.

Lets assess the things you must refrain from doing to your cone crusher if you want it to continue operating optimally.

Things You Must Stop Doing to Your Cone Crusher

Here are some things you must stop doing to your cone crusher. They include:

Neglecting Maintenance

Neglecting maintenance means youre not checking your cone crushers air filters. If your cone crushers air filters are clogged, it will lead to a poor flow of lubricants. In such instances, you can damage your cone crushers bearing housing, which will significantly set you back in costs. In addition, clogged air filters and breathers can cause pressure accumulation inside your bearing housing. You could end up with a sealing problem that requires extensive repairs.

Failure to Check for Wear

Cone crushers, like any other machinery, are prone to wear and tear. As your cone crusher ages, it will start to show signs of slowing down. It can become too expensive to repair the cone crusher at that point. Instead, you would probably be better off replacing your cone crusher. However, with regular maintenance, you can extend your cone crushers lifespan. In addition, you can repair minor wear easily and cost-effectively.

Running Your Cone Crushers Liners Thin

Cone crushers have manganese wear lines, also known as bowls and mantles. These liners are crucial for the crushing process. However, theyre also expensive. Cone crusher liners tend to wear out with use. Depending on the material youre processing, your liners could need replacement as early as six weeks. Make sure you arent running your cone crushers liners thin by regularly examining them. If your cone crusher liners thickness reduces to less than one inch, its time for a replacement.

Improper Application

Every machinery has an intended purpose. If your cone crusher is suitable for a 4:1 reduction ratio, adhere to that. If you try to make it process more than that, youre likely going to damage your machinery. Generally, its a good idea to have an applications engineer audit your equipment and components.

Lopsided Feed

A lopsided feed can damage your cone crushers liner, resulting in uneven wear. In turn, it will cause your crushing chamber to become inefficient, meaning it wont reduce the materials as effectively as it should. Make sure that your feed is even. Consider implementing a surge bin as a viable alternative.

3 Types of Crushers

3 Types of Crushers

Not all rock crushers are built the same way, with each having a certain situation in which they excel. To make matters more difficult, they also have variations in between one kind that you’d want to be aware of. These are the major crush varieties:

Jaw crushers

Commonly used as primary crushers, jaw crushers can also be used as secondary crushers. They’re mainly used for breaking down rocks and other materials into smaller sizes, making them easy to transport from one place to another. Jaw crushes have a moving and a fixed jaw, with the moving and fixed jaw coming together to press the material down to break it into smaller sizes.

There are two kinds of jaw crushers: single toggle and double toggle. The single toggle jaw crusher uses a Shaft rotation for a compressive action. The double toggle crusher has two shafts toggle plates each.

Gyratory crushers

Gyratory crushers are mostly restricted for primary crushing purposes, but they see some usage for secondary crushing as well. It consists of an oscillating shaft, which presses material between a crushing cavity. The lines around the chambers compress, pressing down on the content being pressed down. There’s less damage to the liners in this process as the particles being compressed press down on each other as well.

Because of a convenient hydraulic setting adjustment system, dealing with crushed material, later on, is fairly convenient.

Cone crushers

Cone crushers work similarly to gyratory crushers, and are the commonly opted option for secondary, tertiary, and later crushing procedures. When the materials in question are smaller than usual, cone crushers take on the job of primary crushing as well. Because of this, they’re relatively versatile in their functionality.

Cone crushers operate using an oscillating shaft, using a crushing cavity with an external bowl liner and mantle placed along with the shaft’s assembly for easy operation. With a decent choke feeding method, cone crushers can be optimized properly for less wear and tear, along with better operation. The rock crushing industry is essential, but its various details can be complicated. Having rock crusher solutions can always help ensure your work’s taken care of. If you’re looking for rock crusher parts, you can rely on Optimum Crush to have you covered. From crusher & screen replacement parts such as cone crusher bowl liner, mantle, you can find them all.

Things to Look for In Crusher Parts

Things to Look for In Crusher Parts

Because of all the heavy-duty compression they do, crusher parts break down very frequently. They require regular replacement and crushing companies have spare parts and suppliers at all times. But if you’re looking for replacement considerations, here’s what you should focus on:

Engineer overseeing rock crushing.

Fitting

To the untrained eye, it might be hard to figure out if a particular part is incompatible with a crusher or not. In reality, the smallest of disparity between parts can cause inefficiencies, if not major issues. Parts that are too big for the crusher to support can stop working altogether.

On the flip side, smaller parts may not be able to support themselves, exerting the workload on others to cause wear and tear on them. It’s very common for crushing companies to run into huge losses from using incompatible parts.

Design

Crusher parts manufacturers produce various SKUs of a particular product with many variations. Over time, these products also go through many revisions, coming up with simplified designs. Ideally, you’d want to go with the latest version with the most improvements. But it’s also necessary to educate yourself about the appropriate model for your needs.

Going with a design that’s new but not built to support your crusher is also a mistake. A good supplier will also educate you on these factors.

Materials

A common mistake made during crusher parts replacement is the incompatibility of materials. While many parts may look identical in terms of their appearance and luster, how they perform during operations and withstand the various pressures can vary significantly. At the very least, there will be more wear and tear or damage at a faster rate when these incompatible parts are operating together.

The worst-case scenario could be disastrous, causing multiple parts to snap and break off. Ensure that you’re acquiring material from a reliable vendor that pays attention to the properties of their materials.

Are you looking for quality crusher parts? Or for a competent company to support you with your crusher needs? Working with rock crusher solutions can provide you with both services. For rock crusher parts, you can find all you need at Optimum Crush’s website. From crusher & screen replacement parts like cone crusher bowl liner, mantle, you can find them all.

Job Title: Product Engineer I

What types of things do you do during the work day: Reverse engineer parts. I use three different software programs regularly throughout the work day. I scan parts with Design X and model parts in Solidworks. Then, the models usually go into Auto CAD to layout to view how the part interacts with others around it. Most recently, I have been reverse engineering parts for Telsmith cone crushers. I use Design X along with dimensions physical measurements using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, vernier calipers, telescoping gauges, radius gauges, etc.) and create a drawing in Solidworks. Then, I create a layout on the size crusher and check for fitment. After that, Jerrod and I sit down to determine if anything with the part should adjusted (ie increase a radius to reduce stress concentrations or change a tolerance so the mating halves of the part will always fit together, etc).
